Introduction
As an End Market Manager / Sr. Manager in Greater China, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of our new business in one of the most dynamic and rapidly evolving markets in the world. The position will own physical AI, industrial automation, robotics & power for Greater China and will bring subject matter expertise in a diverse set of applications including factory automation, autonomous systems, collaborative robotics (cobots), motor control, and power conversion. This position is not just about business development; it’s about strategically aligning our technical and manufacturing capabilities of GF.

You will report to the Vice President of the Home & Industrial IoT End Market at GlobalFoundries.
Your Job:
Strategic Chinese fabless and OEM business Development: Formulate and execute a comprehensive partnership strategy to win China fabless and new OEM business.
Understand market dynamics and architectural trends across multiple home & industrial segments with clear ability to map out the value-chain & SAM for OEMs, Tier 1s, IDM/Fabless with competitive positioning
Drive design wins, tapeouts and funnel growth by working cross functional with Sales and Product teams function teams
Provide domain leadership in industrial system architectures, evaluate compute and memory architecture tradeoffs for low-power, connected, and AI-enabled systems.
Ensure ownership and accountability across Sales, Design Enablement, Fab Operations, and Supply Chain.
Develop long-term relationships with customers and ecosystem partners to shape market direction over a 5+ year horizon; serving as a company champion
Author and manage market requirement documents (MRDs) that capture market needs, customer requirements, and business goals. Collaborate with Product Managers to translate MRDs into PRDs and work with engineering to validate that tech specs meet product needs.
Create and deploy compelling collateral (sales kits & presentations) to articulate the value proposition to customers and end-users. Enable sales and product teams with strong technical positioning and messaging that accelerate opportunity progression.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
5+ years in industry OEMs or semiconductor fabless, foundry or IDM companies
Experience with system-level robotics and industrial automation architectures, including controllers, drives, sensing, connectivity, and power subsystemsand component selection
Strong understanding of the Robotics ecosystem including silicon vendors, system integrators, technology partners and OEMs in Greater China
Experience in system-level analysis and comparison with the ability to decompose and analyze complex systems
Ability to work both independently as well as collaboratively with international and diverse teams and with multiple levels of management.
Fluency in Mandarin (Chinese) and English is required, written & verbal with strong analytical skills
Travel - Up to 50% travel required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in Electrical Engineering; and/or MBA
Deep domain experience in robotics or IoT verticals like consumer electronics, industrial automation, or medical devices
Established relationships across the robotics & industrial ecosystem, including OEMs, system integrators, technology partners, and end customers, are a plus.
Strong understanding of electrical systems in Physical AI applications
Compute architectures (ARM Cortex-M, RISC-V), CPU/IP ecosystems
Sensing, motor control and actuation platforms
Power management and distribution
Evaluate system trade-off for low-power, connected, and physical AI systems.
Proven track record of successfully managing complex partnerships and driving business growth.
