Your Role

Integrated into a team of scientists and research engineers, you will work on research projects in medical robotics. This includes:

  • Developing and testing concepts for medical robotics and robot-assisted surgery

  • Evaluating concepts both in simulation and on real setups, getting hands-on experience with robotics in the medical field

  • Conducting experiments in our robotics laboratory

  • Presenting and discussing research findings in team and department meetings

  • Working with researchers and engineers in a collaborative environment at the ZEISS Innovation Hub Karlsruhe, located at the KIT Campus North

Your Profile

  • You are interested in technology and motivated to work on challenging tasks

  • You are enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in engineering, computer science, robotics, or a related field

  • You have a strong engineering background and basic knowledge in robotics

  • You have programming knowledge in at least one of the following: Python, ROS, C++

  • Good communication skills in English and/or German

  • A hands-on mentality, an open mind, and excellent problem-solving and innovation skills

  • Passion for emerging technologies and motivation to work in agile, interdisciplinary teams
