IML & Setup Technician (Robotics Technician)

The Jokey Group consists of 14 production sites in 11 countries, employing over 2,500 employees and supplying customers in over 80 countries. We manufacture high quality injection moulded plastic buckets and lids for food and non-food items. Using monoplastics, we aim to decrease our environmental impact, and strengthen our contributions towards the development of a sustainable and circular economy.

We are looking for a IML & Setup Technician to join our Jokey North America team. Office hours are Monday to Friday 8:00am to 4:00pm EST.

Position Responsibilities:

• Control the machine and robot parameters on the basis of the manufacturing master data sheets and the target specifications (i.e. cycle time, weight of shot, etc.);
• Perform robot set changes, equipment repairs and machine and robot maintenance in a timely manner;
• Make improvements to robots to improve efficiency and reduce downtime;
• Read electrical schematics and pneumatics;
• Maintain a preventive maintenance program and records for injection machines and robots;
• Maintain communication with IML and Set-Up Coordinator/Shift Supervisor/ Production Manager about necessary machine repairs;
• Lead, oversee, ensure safe work practices at all times;
• Other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications:

• Experience with automation programs;
• Experience with robotics;
• Strong organization, and time management skills
• Proven communication skills (both verbal and written)
• Team Player
• Highly organized with a strong attention to detail
• Self-starter
• Good computer skills including MS Office
