We are meteocontrol energy GmbH – a newly established company within the meteocontrol Group and part of a successful medium-sized player in the renewable energy sector. Our focus lies on the development, control and operation of intelligent energy systems, particularly battery storage and hybrid solutions for the Commercial & Industrial (C&I) segment. As a new member of the meteocontrol Group, we are driving the expansion of our Virtual Power Plant (VPP) and the integration of battery storage systems into energy trading and ancillary service markets. In doing so, we create the foundation for sustainable, scalable and economically attractive energy solutions. Your profile:

• A qualification in electrical engineering (e.g., Master Electrician or a degree in Electrical/Energy Engineering); a TRAI certification is a plus.
• Several years of professional experience in grid connection procedures, commissioning of generation assets, and ideally exposure to PV, battery or hybrid systems.
• Confident handling of EMS systems, relevant standards (VDE-AR-N 4105/4110/4120, TAB, DGUV V3, DIN VDE 0105-100) and basic knowledge of protection technology and communication interfaces (e.g., IEC 61850, Modbus, MQTT).
• Medium-voltage switching authorization or willingness to obtain it.
• Very good German skills and good English skills.
• A structured, independent working style combined with enthusiasm for sharing technical knowledge in a practical, hands-on manner.

Your mission:

• Technical overall responsibility for the grid connection and commissioning of our battery storage and hybrid systems in the C&I segment.
• Acting as the central interface between grid operators, engineering and management, including all technical coordination and documentation.
• Preparation, submission and management of grid connection applications with DSOs/TSOs, including all technical documents such as protection concepts, schematics and required evidence.
• Planning and documentation of metering and measurement concepts for our energy storage solutions.
• Execution and supervision of commissioning activities, including parameter configuration, functional testing and system communication setup.
• Development and delivery of trainings for installation partners, service technicians and customers with a focus on commissioning, system integration and safe operation.
• Contribution to prequalification processes for ancillary services, Redispatch 2.0 as well as §14a EnWG controllability and other grid-relevant requirements.
• Your key responsibility: enabling the technical and regulatory integration of battery storage systems into the electricity grid – while building long-term know-how internally and with external partners.
