Job Summary:

As a Graduate Field Service Engineer at Honeywell, in Asker, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining and configuring Honeywell Industrial Control & Safety, (SAS), systems and Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition, (SCADA), Systems in the energy, offshore, oil & gas, chemical, and manufacturing markets.

This role can include frequent travel, which can be up to 3 weeks per month.

This role is part of our University Relations program, designed to help students and recent graduates launch their careers with hands-on experience, mentorship, and opportunities for growth within Honeywell.

Key responsibilities:

You will have a buddy assigned to you and work closely with experienced professionals to gain hands-on experience within a friendly and supportive team to be trained to achieve the following independently within up to 3 years:

  • Actively participate in installation / configuration / implementation & commissioning of Honeywell’s product range including Industrial Safety & Automation Systems (SAS)
  • Represent Honeywell in all customer interactions according to Honeywell values and follow and observe all Honeywell and customer safety regulations and requirements
  • Understand project life cycle from specifications to delivery
  • Implement system upgrades or modifications, on process/off process. Implement online system changes to live plant without compromising process safety and operation
  • Be a part of the team that helps customers with digitalization of their facilities
  • Dedicatedly seek to establish opportunities for the advancement of productapplications to improve the customer process
  • Troubleshoot Honeywell installed base at customer sites remotely and on customer sites

Key skills and qualifications:

  • A strong interest in building a career within industrial automation and cyber security within the land-based refining and oil & gas sector
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in petroleum, electronics, systems engineering, automation, cybernetics or industrial IT having graduated no earlier than 2025 and no later than 2026
  • Holds a class B driving licence for use in Norway
  • Excellent customer handling skills
  • An interest in learning ‘how things work’ and a passion for engineering
  • Intermediate Norwegian and business level English language skills
