Your Role and Responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to collaborate closely with the Sales organization and customers throughout the proposal process by preparing technical descriptions of applied products and technologies. Each day, you will determine costs, prepare final documentation, and serve as a key technical resource within the assigned area. You will also demonstrate your technical knowledge by performing lost proposal analyses, identifying potential causes, and recommending future actions.

Work model for the role:

This role is contributing to the Electrification Services in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia.

You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Penetrating the installed base (IB) by promoting upgrades, retrofits, and value‑added solutions that benefit both ABB and our customers.

  • Understanding the channel strategy, supporting price establishment, preparing sales plans, reviewing progress, and proposing recovery plans when needed.

  • Generating service sales leads and developing new market opportunities by analyzing market trends and identifying potential new service portfolios.

  • Acting as a marketer and salesperson for ABB’s service products and solutions during marketing activities, including campaigns, trade fairs, exhibitions, conferences, and customer meetings.

Qualifications for the Role

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, or in related fields such as Mechatronics, Industrial Automation, or similar engineering disciplines.

  • Fresh graduates from 2024 or 2025, or candidates with up to 2 years of relevant experience.

  • Solid understanding of market trends and product life cycles within the electrification industry.

  • Internship or project experience in electrical engineering, automation, or industrial systems.

  • Highly detail-oriented, with creative and analytical skills, and a commitment to improving business performance.

  • Demonstrated ability to innovate, generate new ideas, and continuously enhance processes.

  • Cooperative and communicative, with curiosity, professional demeanour, a steady work ethic, and an ability to pick up new skills quickly.

  • Participation in a 24‑month rotational program within the Electrification Service business in Malaysia.

  • Willingness to travel to site locations as required for field assignments (70%–80% domestic travel).
