This position requires deep technical expertise in precision instrumentation along with demonstrated experience leading engineering teams, managing projects, and developing talent.

Technical Leadership

  • Provide architectural direction and technical oversight for mixed-signal systems including low-noise amplifiers, ADC systems, DSP architectures, and power supply design.
  • Guide system-level design and integration of detectors, displays, batteries, and embedded processors.
  • Ensure robust design practices for high-accuracy, low-noise measurement systems.
  • Oversee prototyping, PCB bring-up, debugging, validation, and performance characterization.

Team & Organizational Leadership

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of electrical engineers.

  • Assign and prioritize engineering resources across projects.

  • Conduct performance reviews and support career development.

  • Drive engineering excellence and continuous improvement.

Program & Product Execution

  • Own execution of electrical engineering deliverables across the product lifecycle.

  • Coordinate cross-functionally with systems, software, manufacturing, quality, and product teams.

  • Ensure projects meet schedule, cost, and performance targets.

Compliance & Quality

  • Ensure designs meet regulatory standards such as IEC/UL 61010-1.

Education / Experience

  • BS in Electrical Engineering required; MS preferred.
  • 10+ years of relevant electronics design experience.
  • 3+ years of leadership or management experience preferred

Technical and Managerial Expertise

  • Demonstrated leadership experience: coaching, mentoring, and performance management; ability to build and sustain a high-performing engineering team.
  • Ability to manage and direct a multi-site team with team members at other Ametek office locations
  • Proven experience leading technical electronics team delivering complex hardware and/or instrumentation products
  • Hardware design and architecture ownership with experience with FPGA, DSP, and embedded systems
  • Strong background in high accuracy and low noise analog, digital, and mixed-signal design
  • Expertise in system architecture design and hardware/software integration ranging from laboratory instrumentation to portable measurement systems
  • Project execution and cross-functional team coordination (schedule, cost, performance) across the product lifecycle.
