We are looking for a star Unmanned Aircraft System (Drone) Field Technician to join the team. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work as part of a team in a customer-facing, project management, and nationwide operations role.
Job Summary: In this position, you will take a part of our operations team, and you will be working independently with our customers in Canada. You will play a critical role as our customers revolutionize the way they inspect and monitor vital infrastructure and assets. You will be mainly working in the field. You will cooperate with the operations, engineering, sales, and marketing teams for the ultimate goal of full product adaptation and paramount customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Support the deployment, installation, and conduct the ongoing maintenance of Percepto's systems at client sites.
- Troubleshoot, test, repair, and maintain aerial and ground systems.
- Independently plan and execute assigned activities, collaborating with internal and external teams to ensure successful completion.
- Follow company procedures and protocols and provide feedback for improvement.
- Ensure readiness and proper maintenance of all flight and testing equipment and tools
- Ensure all tasks are carried out in accordance with schedules and client expectations.
- Safely conduct operations, adhering to Transport Canada (TC), other local aviation regulations, CCOHS regulations, and customer-specific safety protocols
- Maintain proper documentation of all work performed and timely provide status updates as required.
- Participate in in-field testing of Percepto’s next-era autonomous robotic systems
- Test product capabilities and identify areas for improvement
Requirements
- Transport Canada Advanced Operations Drone Pilot Certificate
- Canadian Driver's License
- At least 1-2 years of proven technical record operating drones
- At least 2 years of proven technician work experience (electrician, mechanic, assembly, repair )
- Ability to handle small components and perform delicate tasks
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, flexible environment
- Ability to work on some non-routine hours, and willingness to work overtime
- Ability to self-learn in a highly dynamic environment
- Successfully work both independently and as part of a team
- Great customer-facing skills
- Strong communication skills – written, verbal, and presentation
- Self-motivated, self-starter, energetic, assertive
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions( including extreme heat, cold, rain, wind, and humidity) and work environments where exposure to dust, dirt, and other outdoor elements is common
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects, often ranging from 50 to 100 lbs, sometimes over uneven or rough terrain.
- Frequent bending, kneeling, crouching, or squatting to access and work on equipment located at ground level or in confined spaces.
- Physical endurance to perform strenuous tasks for extended periods, including working in awkward or uncomfortable positions; reaching and working on equipment inside enclosures, cabinets, or elevated areas.
- Repetitive use of hands and fingers to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, and controls. This could include using hand tools, operating equipment, or making precise adjustments.
