Nederman is seeking an experienced and customer-focused Field Service Technician to join our dynamic Aftermarket team. This position is responsible for delivering technical support and service to customers following the installation of our products. The role includes performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting system issues, conducting repairs, and supporting parts sales for existing installations. The ideal candidate has a solid background in industrial ventilation systemsspecifically source capture exhaust and filtration equipment.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities: Perform on-site service, inspections, repairs, and maintenance for dust collection and vehicle exhaust extraction systems, and other Nederman installations. Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues with installed systems and recommend corrective actions or make necessary repairs. Complete service reports for all work orders, including description of work, parts used, time required, travel miles required, customer contact. Support emergency calls and warranty work as needed. Identify problems with equipment and repair when necessary, informing the Field Service back office. Identify problems with the manufacturing quality of equipment that is in the field. On an as needed basis, support installation and start-up and commissioning on new Nederman filtration and exhaust extraction systems Take airflow readings and/or measurements with Nederman provided equipment to ensure system meets the engineered design requirements. Make the necessary adjustments to balance the system. Assist special projects, providing engineering with data, pictures, feedback and other pertinent information. Coordinate customer complaints with appropriate department to ensure problem is promptly and fairly resolved. Promote sales of repair parts, recommended spare parts, and preventative maintenance services. Manage travel expenses and day to day scheduling of own activities in coordination with service manager or service coordinator.

Qualifications Your Experience & Education Trades education electrical, millwright or similar, preferred 3+ years of experience in field service, industrial ventilation, HVAC or industrial equipment maintenance or Equivalent military experience. Must have valid drivers license, a clean driving record. Travel ~ 100% Domestic Canada for on-site service events.

Your Skills & Traits: General working knowledge of industrial ventilation design. Familiarity with PLC programming, ladder logic and variable frequency drives and motor controls Mechanically and electrically inclined with the ability to perform hands on tasks; disassemble and reassemble mechanical components Use a multi-meter to check fuses, troubleshoot contactors, verify power, troubleshoot 3-phase motors, etc. Work within the safety guidelines of customers, Nederman and other safety agencies; always operating by the most stringent of safety protocol. Willingness to learn new technology. Work independently and conscientiously to complete a service event. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications. Communicate clearly and precisely with internal and external customers. Customer and Team oriented. Good organizational and time-management skills
