About this Job
The Field Service Engineer is responsible for PLC maintenance, root cause analysis, and troubleshooting of automation equipment. The ideal candidate should have at least three years of experience with PLCs or automation systems and hands-on experience with Siemens and Rockwell platforms.
Responsibilities
PLC Program Maintenance
- Monitor and maintain PLC programs.
- Analyze and modify PLC logic as required.
- Perform root cause analysis and resolve equipment failures and operational issues.
Equipment Support
- Perform I/O checks and troubleshooting.
- Inspect and maintain sensors and actuators.
- Support new equipment setup and commissioning activities.
- Conduct preventive maintenance (PM) and equipment improvement projects.
Industrial Network
- Inspect and troubleshoot communication between PLCs, HMIs, and Remote I/O systems.
- Manage and maintain Industrial Ethernet networks.
- Respond to and resolve network issues related to PROFINET and EtherNet/IP.
Required Technical Skills
- Ability to analyze and modify Ladder Logic programs.
- Proficiency in PLC online monitoring and troubleshooting.
- Strong equipment troubleshooting skills.
Qualifications
PLC Experience
- Experience with both Siemens and Rockwell PLC systems.
Industrial Networking
- PROFINET
- EtherNet/IP
- Modbus TCP
Core Competencies
- Excellent analytical and logical thinking abilities.
- Strong field service and on-site response capabilities.
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience with PLCs or industrial automation systems.
- Hands-on experience with Siemens and Rockwell PLC platforms.
