About this Job

Exotec designs and delivers advanced automation solutions that help global brands optimize warehouse performance while supporting warehouse teams across at every level. Our organization combines elegant mechanical design, resilient software, and a deep understanding of logistics operations to solve our clients’ most complex challenges.

Working at Exotec means contributing to the systems used daily in warehouses. You'll collaborate with passionate colleagues who share knowledge, challenge ideas, and work in a respectful environment that values the diversity of more than 1,000 ExoPeople around the world.

Here, your work moves from concept to production and into the hands of clients who rely on it each day. You’ll join a company where collaboration, excellence, and meaningful impact guide what's built next.

Role Summary

This Field Maintenance Technician role represents the start of something new at Exotec As the first traveling maintenance technician in our newly created Hypercare function, you’ll play a foundational role in how we support clients through the critical go‑live phase. You’ll travel frequently—often for several weeks at a time—to warehouse sites across North America to provide hands‑on maintenance support, stabilize operations, resolve early technical issues, and set each system up for long‑term success.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the maintenance of all the systems (robots, machines, conveyors) installed by Exotec in the client’s warehouse
  • Perform corrective and preventative maintenance tasks on systems and machines
  • Monitor the performance of the installations
  • Work both autonomously and collaboratively to maintain Exotec's system availability targets (99%)
  • Interact with on-site client teams to perform maintenance tasks and provide operational guidance
  • Assist with installation and deployment of new systems or machines
  • Respond quickly to emergency situations, escalating and requesting additional assistance as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned

We strongly encourage applications from candidates of all genders to help us build a truly inclusive environment. If you don’t meet every requirement listed below, don’t worry—your skills and experiences may still make you a great fit!

  • 3-5+ years of maintenance experience, ideally with some exposure to robotics

  • Good general knowledge and competency in mechanical, electrical and software maintenance operations and engineering; if no robotics-specific experience, then at least a strong interest working on various robotics systems and machines

  • Highly organized with ability to maintain composure and quality through high-stress incidents and/or escalations

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with client leadership teams and de-escalate situations

  • Comfort and openness with regular travel (up to 100% of working hours)

  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the job:

  • Use and manipulation of standard hand tools

  • Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs

  • Working from heights of up to 50 ft

  • Use and operation of lifts with a manufacturer‑rated capacity of 250 lbs, including tools and equipment (approximately 30 lbs)

  • Stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling to access and repair equipment at ground level

  • Working on overhead equipment, including extended reaching and manual dexterity

  • Any understanding of basic SQL queries would be a bonus

  • Competitive compensation package, inclusive of hourly rate with annual bonus potential

  • Comprehensive medical, dental and vision coverage

  • Generous vacation and time off policy

  • 401(k) with company match up to 5%

  • Eligibility to participate in Employee Share Program after 1 year of employment

  • Continuous opportunities for training and development in a quickly growing company

  • Company-hosted teambuilding and social events with North America HQ (in Atlanta, GA) through the year

To apply, please submit your résumé. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted for the next steps in the hiring process. We look forward to receiving your application!
