About this Job

The Equipment Technician performs and ensures that the manufacturing equipment is in working condition, providing the necessary preventive and corrective maintenance to facilitate production without defects caused by the equipment.

  • General Responsibilities*

  • Participates on services and calibrates test equipment by making regular performance inspections, planning preventative maintenance and repairing defective equipment or systems.

  • Assists with repairs and preventative actions on equipment within the production.

  • Participates in the deployment of new equipment.

  • Assists on preventive actions with a real risk of equipment or infrastructure problems.

  • Ensures correction and continuous improvement events for the performance of production equipment.

  • Timely informs the supervisor and relevant staff about maintenance issues related to the technological equipment during unplanned repairs.

  • Experience / Qualifications*

  • Relevant work experience or knowledge of the role

  • Must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands

  • Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results

  • Holds self-accountable to achieving goals and standards

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)

  • Responsible for performing electrical or mechanical troubleshooting to determine problems in non-functioning electro-mechanical equipment used in the manufacturing processes.

  • Dismantle, adjust, repair and assemble equipment according to layout plan, blueprint, operating or repair manual, rough sketch or drawing

  • Use test and diagnostic equipment to perform checkouts.

  • Perform preventive maintenance according to schedule and PM check list

  • Troubleshoot problem related to electrical, mechanical, motor and input / output.

  • Upload and download machine parameter, this include robot controller program

  • Rebuild manufacturing equipment as required.

  • May perform equipment modifications as directed by Equipment/Process engineers

  • Maintain good housekeeping on overall equipment and the peripherals

REQUIREMENTS

  • Requires Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical/Mechatronic Engineering or related educational equivalency.

  • Candidate with min 1 year working experience in manufacturing industry will have added advantages for hiring

  • Good in control system, sensor, servo motor and vision system

  • Good analytical skill in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting

  • Experiences in wire bond or any STM process will be added advantages

  • Able to read and understand electrical and mechanical drawing

  • Fundamentally good in electrical or mechanical

  • Able to work in a 12 hours rotational shift
