In parallel, we provide leading engineering services in FPGA system design, and in development of high-speed hardware, FPGA firmware and embedded software.
To strengthen our dynamic team in Zurich, we are looking for a new:
Electronics Technician
- Completed an apprenticeship or equivalent training as an Electronics Technician.
- Fundamental understanding of electronic measurements, with a structured and analytical approach to problem solving.
- Good practical soldering skills, with the ability and willingness to work on fine-pitch components.
- Practical exposure to common laboratory and measurement equipment (e.g., power supplies, multimeters, oscilloscopes).
- Interest in debugging and troubleshooting electronic systems, with a hands-on and curious mindset.
- Initial experience or academic exposure to schematic capture and PCB layout tools (Altium Designer or equivalent).
- Basic familiarity with embedded systems, such as building or running simple bare-metal or Linux-based software.
- Familiarity with Git-based workflows (e.g., GitLab/GitHub).
- Basic programming knowledge in Python, or strong motivation to develop scripting skills.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken).
**1) Failure Analysis, Repair & Customer Feedback **∙ Perform technical analysis, fault diagnosis, and repair of returned electronic devices. ∙ Document findings and outcomes clearly and handle customer communication.
**2) Second-Source Evaluations (SSE) Support **∙ Support SSE activities through technical assessment of alternative components. ∙ Execute component-level rework on modules and assist with qualification/validation tests.
**3) Engineering Change Orders (ECO) Support **∙ Support ECO implementation, including BoM updates and maintenance of production data in Altium hardware projects.
**4) Technical Customer Support (1st Level) **∙ Handle 1st-level technical support requests, providing timely and effective assistance. ∙ Collect relevant information (measurements, logs, reproduction steps) and coordinate escalation to 2nd-level engineering support where needed.
**5) Process Development & Continuous Improvement **∙ Contribute to continuous process improvement initiatives within the LCM team (workflows, documentation, templates/checklists).
