Electronics Engineer I

Nordson Test & Inspection, a global leader in world-class metrology equipment and inspection systems, is looking for a motivated and talented Electronics Engineer to contribute to the development of advanced X‑ray imaging systems at our Southampton, UK site.

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

• PCBAdesignincluding some high-speed elements (up to 500 MHz)
• PCBA layout and analysis, including directing layout subcontractors
• Low noise analogue and PSU design
• Embedded SW and scripting (C, Python etc)
• CMOS IC design/semiconductor knowledge a bonus
• Technical documentation
• Verification at board and system level

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics Engineering or a related field
• Graduate level or early career
• Knowledge of analogue/digital circuit design, power electronics, and embedded systems
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, willingness to learn and be flexible to change

PREFERRED SKILLS & ABILITIES

• PCB CAD tools (e.g. Altium etc)
• Knowledge of FPGA & custom IC design
• Logical and methodical approach to design, verification and issue resolution
• Dependable, willing to take ownership, and understand the importance of time schedule
