Your mission

Join our engineering team to help develop next-generation drone technology through the design and sustainment of advanced electronic hardware. This position requires on-site collaboration, testing, and integration work and therefore cannot be performed fully remotely.

  • Design, develop, validate, and sustain electronic hardware for drone platforms and subsystems.
  • Create schematics, select components, and support PCB design with focus on performance, reliability, manufacturability, and cost.
  • Perform hardware testing, debugging, root cause analysis, and design verification.
  • Support prototyping, product validation, manufacturing introduction, and production release.
  • Investigate field issues, implement design improvements, and manage component lifecycle and obsolescence.
  • Collaborate with firmware, software, manufacturing, and quality teams to ensure successful product development and integration.
  • Maintain technical documentation and support engineering change management (ECR/ECO) and configuration control processes.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable quality, safety, and regulatory requirements.

Your profile

  • Diploma or Master of Science in Electrical Engineering, Communications Engineering or Mechatronics.
  • Min. 8 years experience in the field of electrical HW development, embedded systems, preferably in aerospace or automotive.
  • Expertise in complex PCBA design (incl. component selection), concept, schematic, layout and manufacturing (prototypes).
  • EMI compliant design expertise.
  • Specialized in one of the following fields: Knowledge of signal processing and interfaces (UART, CAN, SPI, I²C, Ethernet…); Knowledge of wireless interfaces (LTE, GNSS etc); Knowledge of microcontrollers (esp. ARM Cortex).
  • Expert in trouble shooting and design analysis and optimizations.
  • Experience with EDA programs (preferred: Altium).
  • Experience with Airborne (or Automotive) Electronic Hardware development standards, e.g. aviation regulations and standards DO-254 and DO-160.
  • Fluent in English; German language skills are a plus.
  • Experience with Git, embedded programming (in C/C++, Python) is a plus.
