Our facility in Buckhannon, WV has the opportunity for a skilled Electronic Technician with a thorough comprehensive knowledge of electrical equipment, processes and techniques to safely repair, modify, install and maintain the facility and high-tech lumber manufacturing equipment, to join our Team.
Key Functions:
- Performing job responsibilities with a commitment to Mill safety policies and procedures
- Repair and troubleshoot plant controls and processes
- Install and maintain Process HMI and IT Equipment (cameras, network switches, access points, ect)
- Technical support for shift electricians
- Support Plant Fire Suppression System
- Assist with new equipment planning, engineering, programming, installViation and modification
The following qualifications are required:
Associate’s Degree in E.E.T. or equivalent education and experience in Industrial Electrical work.
Stable employment history with a minimum of five (5) years experience in Industrial Electrical work with no higher education.
A minimum of two (2) years experience in PLC control systems.
Good working knowledge of:
Computer hardware and software including general networking
N.E.C. and NFPA70E
AC & DC drives
Ability to troubleshoot using blueprints, schematics, computers and appropriate test equipment.
Previous experience and ability to troubleshoot:
Allen Bradley PLC 5/40 and SLC 500 programming
AB Control Logix programming
Rockwell programming software and/or Wonderware
Must be willing and able to work rotating shifts, to include weekends and holidays as operating conditions require
Willing to be on call
A personal and total commitment to observe all safety rules and regulations
Commitment to follow all unit electrical / maintenance practices
Ability to pass a pre-employment examination.
The following qualifications are preferred:
Journeyman Electrician or greater certification
Experience with SAP or equivalent enterprise experience
Instrumentation experience such as load cells, thermocouples, RTD’s, etc.
