Job Description
Veolia is currently searching for an Electrical Technician (Journeyman Electrician) to support the production of water filtration products. The production of water purification filters is a growing business which addresses the ever-increasing need for water. We are looking for a highly motivated and technically strong electrical technician to support our manufacturing facility. Come be a part of this exciting and growing technology!
Duties & Responsibilities:
Observe and comply with all OSHA and company EHS policies and procedures, including housekeeping practices and participations in EHS meetings, investigations, and audits
Has a strong understanding of commercial or industrial electrical systems, wiring, and circuitry
Has the ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams
Knowledge of the 2023 NEC (or current edition adopted by MN)
Proficient with electrical tools and testing equipment
Perform preventative and corrective maintenance following job plans, diagrams/schematics, manufacturer recommendations and engineering specifications; help identify and implement reliability improvements
Consistently writes detailed notes in the CMMS to ensure continuity across work teams
Deliver exceptional customer service to both internal customers and the manufacturing teams
Bring new ideas and positive support to the current process
Assure that all engineering designs and technical data are complete and accurately documented to provide an accurate technical / historical base for future reference and to meet customer / end user requirements.
Compensation - The salary range is tied to the market for similarly benchmarked roles. The range is not an absolute, but a guide, and offers will be based on the individual candidate’s knowledge, skills, experience, and market conditions, as well as internal peer equity. Depending upon all the preceding considerations for the final selected individual candidate, the offer may be lower or higher than the stated range: $33 - $48 USD or hourly.
Qualifications
Qualifications/Requirements:
Licensed journeyman electrician in the state of MN (with the continued education to maintain licensure)
Minimum of 2 years of plant manufacturing or supply chain experience
Ability and willingness to work overtime, as required.
Ability and willingness to wear PPE, work at heights, in confined spaces, and outdoors
Ability and willingness to perform frequent lifting and bending motions, as required.
Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
Ability to analyze problems, identify root causes and provide efficient solutions
Strong organizational, interpersonal, and team skills
May be on call during the week or on the weekends to support the manufacturing departments
Strong oral and written communication skills
Utilize CMMS (Maximo) to document unscheduled, scheduled, and completed work.
Legal Authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas for this job opening
Preferred:
5 years of plant manufacturing or supply chain experience
Experience with water filtration products
Experience developing process control recipes, adding control logic & alarming to enhance process control, and developing and installing HMI graphics
Experience in building or sourcing parts/equipment for new and existing unit operations
