About this Job

Position Summary: Management of Polyglass Electrical Engineering Team in alignment with Polyglass Strategic Goals and Objectives. This positionshall have responsibility forassistance,specific to allmanufacturingand headquarterlocations based uponstrategicobjectivesfor the department and associated project assignments.

Responsibilities:

  • Leads the development &managementof Electrical EngineeringTeamresources in aims to streamline processes & procedures in place as well as implement new measures to organize department structure tofacilitatelarge scale growth within the organization.Conducts annual performance reviews and assigns goals for all direct reports based on the Business Strategic Objectives.
  • Oversees the successful development & implementation of projects related to process improvements, operational improvements,assistancewith Root Cause Analysis (RCA) on failures, facility upgrades, and related safety improvements at all Polyglass locations.
  • Executesthe development of project deliverables through detailedtechnicalspecifications and scope of work documents which encompass the roadmap to successful project completion.
  • Managesthe Electrical Engineering Teamto ensure project budgets are encompassing and met during construction activities.
  • Reviews and approvedall costs and documentation to support project overruns extending into the 10%, includingCapExSupplemental requests.
  • Communicates,facilitates, and at all levels of Leadership CAPEX project statusandrequiredto follow the CAPEX progress protocols.
  • Updatesforecasted spendingforBusiness cash flowplanning.
  • Advises and suggestsimprovements to plant operations to facilitate Polyglass quality initiatives, plant safety initiatives, employee quality of work environment and process improvement initiatives.
  • Analyses technology, resource needs, and market demand, to plan and assess the feasibility of projects.
  • Prepares budgets, bids, and contracts, and directs the negotiation ofconstruction & equipmentcontracts.
  • Establishes and builds strong relationships with OEM’s and Contractors to support Polyglass Growth.
  • Performs administrative functions such as reviewing anddraftingreports, approving expenditures, enforcing rules, and making decisions about the purchase of materials or services.
  • Acts as working Project Engineer/Manager where necessary tofacilitatetheir own project assignments depending on business needs.
  • Performsother duties asrequired.

Requirements:

  • Minimum ofa Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, specifically Electrical Engineering or similar technical discipline.
  • Minimum of 2 years of proven experience in Electrical Project Management with successful executiontrack recordson safety, quality, cost, and delivery expectations in a manufacturing setting, especially in the roofing industry.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products, AutoCAD, etc.
  • Experience with Electrical design software preferred.
  • PLC experience, specifically Siemens.
  • HMI and Historian experience, specifically AVEVA.
  • Strong working knowledge of electrical designs, industrial controls and scheduling skills preferred.
  • 40% travel required
