We are seeking a skilled and motivated Electrical Controls Technician to support the startup and operation of a new aluminum extrusion manufacturing facility. This hands-on role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, working with advanced automation systems, and contributing to the successful launch of new equipment and processes.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Support the installation, startup, and commissioning of new manufacturing equipment and automated systems.
  • Install, maintain, and modify PLC, HMI, VFD, servo, motion control, and industrial network systems.
  • Diagnose equipment failures using electrical drawings, software tools, and test instruments.
  • Assist in equipment upgrades, process improvements, and cost-reduction initiatives.
  • Install and terminate motors, sensors, instrumentation, control panels, and field devices.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, panel layouts, ladder logic, P&IDs, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
  • Coordinate with equipment vendors and contractors during installations and major repairs.

Required Qualifications

  • Associate degree in Electrical Technology, Industrial Automation, Mechatronics, or related field; equivalent military or industry experience may be considered.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience troubleshooting industrial electrical and automation systems.
  • Experience with PLC platforms such as Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Mitsubishi, or similar.
  • Knowledge of HMIs, variable frequency drives (VFDs), servo systems, and industrial controls.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and control drawings.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and climb for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work in manufacturing environments with varying temperatures, noise levels, and moving equipment.
  • Ability to work from ladders, lifts, and elevated platforms when required.

Pay Range:

65,600.00 - 98,400.00
