Drone Project Surveyor

Key Responsibilities

• Acquire LiDAR data using UAVs and mobile platforms; process raw data into point clouds.
• Lead and mentor drone pilots on FAA regulations, operational best practices, and safety protocols.
• Maintain and troubleshoot LiDAR systems, UAVs, and related equipment.
• Develop deep expertise in LiDAR data acquisition and emerging industry technology.
• Coordinate with Survey Project Managers to continuously improve workflow and deliverable accuracy.
• Assist in managing the Drone Program, including pilot training, certifications, and compliance.
• Continuously improve workflows, standard operating procedures, and safety standards.

Education: Bachelor's Degree preferred. Part 107 License Required.

Skills:

• Working knowledge of FAA Drone Regulations including Airspace.

• Knowledge of LiDAR Systems and Land Surveying related practices.

  Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing

• The ability to work a regular schedule of 730AM - 530PM Mon-Thurs and 730AM - 1130AM Fri, occasional evenings and weekends may be required

• Proven ability to multi-task, appropriately prioritize workflow and complete tasks

• Highly client service-oriented, self-starter, and team player

• Ability to solve problems

• Excellent time management skills
