Job Description:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented undergraduate intern to join our Design for Excellence (DFX) Engineering team. As a DFX Design Engineering Intern, you will support the development of high-quality, manufacturable, and cost-effective products by contributing to design optimization, validation, and cross-functional collaboration efforts. This role offers hands-on experience in applying engineering principles to real-world semiconductor or product design challenges.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in DFX initiatives including Design for Testability (DFT) and Design for Debug (DFD)
- Support DFX design engineering tasks on execution and documentation
- Collaborate with internal & external teams to support DFX engineering deliverables
- Assist in debugging and root cause analysis for DFX related issues
- Contribute to automation scripts, tools or AI development to improve engineering productivity (e.g., Python, MATLAB, or scripting languages)
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
- Basic understanding of digital design concepts, semiconductor fundamentals, or integrated circuit development
- Exposure to one or more of the following areas is a plus:
- FPGA and/or ASIC/SoC design
- Design for Test (DFT) concepts (scan, BIST, ATPG)
- Knowledge of EDA tools (e.g., Synopsys, Cadence, Mentor Graphics)
- Familiarity with programming or scripting (e.g., Python, Perl, MATLAB, or C/C++) is advantageous
- Strong advocate and developer of AI to drive simplification & productivity
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good communication and teamwork abilities
- Detail-oriented with a willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment
