Control Valve Technician, Trainee

We have a rewarding opportunity for a Control Valve Technician Trainee to join our Dyna-Flo team in Edmonton, AB!

Under direct supervision, performs all set-up, testing, recording and tear down of all valves to be tested. Should be familiar with product line and all testing procedures. Basic use of hand or air tools to mount or dismount valves. Ability to read and interpret documents such as operating instructions and/or procedures manual.Must be able to understand quality standards, methods and reporting.

Location: Canada-Edmonton (Dyna-Flo) - Onsite

Salary: $25 Hourly

Your Challenge:

  • Ability to carry out all testing procedures to include (set-up, installation, write program, test, record for final test)

  • Exercise basic problem-solving skills and recommend corrective action to supervisor

  • Responsible for ensuring that all hydraulic/electrical connections between actuator and hydraulic power unit are secure

  • Read and interpret instructions, assembly drawings, parts lists, routing sheets and visual aids

  • Maintain safety

What You Bring:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent GED required

  • Diploma or Certification in a technical trade is an asset

  • 0-2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment

  • Willingness to learn and a positive attitude

  • Problem solving, planning and organizational skills
