Job Summary:GM Performance Power Units isseekinga CNC ManufacturingIntern to support our manufacturing team in Concord, NC. This role isa great opportunityto gain hands-on experience in a high-tech machine shop that produces precision parts for advanced propulsion systems.As an intern,youlllearn how CNC machinesoperate,assistexperienced machinists, and help ensure parts meet quality and safety standards in a fast-paced environment.The intern will gain experience in all aspects of CNC manufacturing.

Job Location:On-Site at GM Performance Power Units, 4540 Fortune Drive NW, Concord, NC 28027
Key Responsibilities:
- Assistwith setting up and operating CNC machines under supervision
- Help monitorpart quality by performing basic in-process inspections
- Support the quality team by reporting measurement results or issues
- Learn how to make minor machine adjustments with guidance
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including machines and tools
- Follow all safety procedures in the shop
- Aid in programming CNC machines under guidance from senior team members.
- Support creation of tool lists, setup sheets, and in-process documentation.
- Maintain accuraterecords of programs, tools, and machining activities.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled students in or recently completed a machining, manufacturing, or engineering program
- Basic understanding of CNC machining concepts
- Familiarity with CAD/CAM softwareis a plus
- Willingness to learn CNC controls (Fanuc, Siemens, or similar)
- Comfortable using basic measuring tools(calipers, micrometers, etc.)
- Experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.)

- Ability to stand, walk, and move in diverse operational environments, including race shops, arenas, and commercial facilities.
- Comfortable working in variable environmental conditions, including loud, high-traffic, or high-pressure environments.
