About this Job
We are seeking a highly skilled Simulation Software Engineer with experience in simulations for autonomous driving and robotics applications to join our team.
In this role, you will work closely with our autonomy team to contribute in building high fidelity simulations to help streamline our prototyping and software testing process.
All candidates must be eligible employment in Cairo, Egypt.
Responsibilities:
- Design and work with simulation engines to simulate Ackerman steering and skid steer vehicles.
- Design/use sensor models on simulation engines for different sensors in the domain of autonomous driving
Requirements:
- Experience with CARLA simulation
- Experience in SW development using C++ and Python
- Experience with Linux OS primitives, scripting [bash/sh], etc.
- Experience with Linux communication stacks [i.e. CAN, POSIX Sockets, I2C, etc]
- Familiarity with autonomous driving sensors, [i.e. LIDARs, radars, cameras] and how they behave under different conditions.
- Experience with homogenous 3D space transformations and linear algebra is a must.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with Unreal Engine 4.2x or 5.x and ability to modify/develop blueprints.
- Familiarity with collision calculations and models.
- Familiar with CI/CD workflows and pipelines.
