Our Opportunity
Location: Fortescue’s Solomon mine is located on the traditional lands of the Eastern Guruma and Yindjibarndi peoples.
Roster: 8D6R7N7R ex Perth
Key Responsibilities
Install, configure and maintain electrical hardware and network technology systems across our mobile assets fleet
Commission and calibrate the perception, positioning and autonomous haulage systems on various HME
Carry out fault diagnosis and repairs of integrated Caterpillar and Liebherr HME electrical systems
Ensure the setup and maintenance of our fleet management systems are optimised to deliver maximum fleet efficiency and meet Mine Plan requirements
Collaborate with internal and external department team members while ensuring compliance with Fortescue standards and policies
Undertake all activities in line with company safety policies and procedures
Qualifications and Experience
- Australian recognised trade certificate in Mechanical, Auto Electrical or HV Electrical or Certification in Electronic Communications
- Experience with Caterpillar MineStar products is essential, with Caterpillar Command experience being highly desired
- Strong commitment to safety with 3 years’ experience working in a heavy mobile equipment mining environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SAP maintenance systems
- Effective communication skills (verbal and written), plus strong organisational and time management abilities
