About this Job

We are looking for an Automation Project Manager with a strong technical backbone in PLC programming and industrial automation.

You will actively work on adapting, optimizing, and troubleshooting PLC/SCADA systems while leading automation initiatives within an industrial process environment.

You will take ownership of automation projects end-to-end: from technical analysis and software adjustments to coordination with internal stakeholders and on-site interventions when required. The role suits someone who combines engineering depth with structured project leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Lead automation-related projects within an industrial/process environment

  • Adapt, extend, and optimize existing PLC and SCADA programs

  • Perform detailed root-cause analysis of technical faults and system disruptions

  • Independently implement software adjustments based on operational needs

  • Contribute to drive technology, control systems, and network integration

  • Prepare and maintain technical documentation

  • Act as a key interface between automation and other internal departments

  • Support troubleshooting outside regular working hours when required (on-call)

  • Ensure system reliability, stability, and performance

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a comparable technical field

  • Proven experience in PLC programming and industrial network technologies

  • Strong hands-on experience with automation systems (PLC, SCADA, visualization tools)

  • Solid understanding of drive, control, and regulation technologies

  • Fluent German (mandatory for daily operations)

  • Professional English

  • French is a plus

  • Ability to work independently and structure technical projects

  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills

  • Willingness to participate in on-call duty when required

  • Valid driving license
