Focus
This role will support several key projects, including implementing a new electrical tester, helping define the scope and design needed to earn a UL label for multi-circuit electrical systems, and contributing to automation tasks as needed (including PLC-related support when applicable). The position will also support poka-yoke (error-proofing) implementation to improve process reliability.
Experience
The ideal candidate brings a solid foundation in technical tools and professional soft skills, with hands-on knowledge of electrical circuitry, electrical panel building, ladder logic and PLCs, and pneumatics; experience with industrial automation, HMI systems, or robotics is a plus. They should be self-directed and independent while still highly collaborative, with strong communication skills, and its a nice bonus if theyre analytical and comfortable working with AI tools.
Education
Candidates should be pursuing a degree in Controls Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Automation Engineering Technology, or Mechanical Engineering (a minor in Information Systems is also a great fit), and should be entering their junior or senior year or currently enrolled in a graduate program.
