Job DetailsJob Location: LOS ANGELES, CA 90045Salary Range: $92,848.00 - $137,500.00 SalarySUMMARY Provide support to engineering projects for expansions and improvements across a wide variety of areas, including but not limited to, electrical control and automation system design and implementation; proposal preparation and reporting; project coordination; system, software, and hardware evaluation and purchasing. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Handle design and coordination of plant improvements and expansions projects, in particular, but not limited to, equipment automation using PLC (Programmable Logic Controller), and its design, implementation, system integration, testing, on-site startup, and so forth. Design and develop HMI (Human Machine Interface) programs of automation systems using software applications, such as Visual Basic, C++, HMI programming, and SQL database. Experience in preparing project proposal and coordinate with project team members in specifying project objectives, scope, deliverables, and budget. Contribute to the evaluation and purchasing process for automation software, hardware, and equipment and able to create and evaluate specifications, quotes, and purchasing documents. Provide technical support to plants for all control system. Develop new system for inhouse machinery. Experience in technical project management, familiar with Microsoft Project software. Study and prepare Computer Aided Design (CAD) electrical drawings and schematics to develop computerized process control solutions. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Management and Leadership experience is a strong plus. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES N/A. EDUCATION AND/Ok EXPERIENCE B.S. or M.S. in Electrical Engineering, emphasize in control system Minimum 5 to 7 years o handson experience in the job olThred or in the related occupationsas Automation Engineer. Project leadership experience to coordinate project team (engineers, manufacturing personnel, and vendors) and oversee project lIom initiation through completion. COMPUTER SKILLS Programming language (such as Visual Basic, C++, 1IMI programming, and SQL database), AUTOCAD, Microsoft Oflice and Project. COMMUNCATION SKILLS Able to read and interpret design drawings. Able to write technical reports, identi1 trends and develop action plans to address issues. REASONING ABILITY Ability to solve practical problems and deal with variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Abilities to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
