This Position reports to:

Team Lead - Project Management

 

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead the execution of small projects with low complexity. Each day, you will ensure that all related activities are executed in accordance with procedures, regulations, standards, specifications and targets. You will also showcase your expertise by defining and applying basic project scheduling techniques to manage schedule risks proactively.

This role is contributing to the Motion business for High Power division based in Vadodara, India

You will be mainly accountable for:

  • 1. Project Leadership • Establishes the project execution approach, and oversees project hand-over, execution planning, and monitoring and control activities for internal and external stake holders to accomplish all project goals/ deliveries.
  • 2. Project Execution and Control • Ensures that the project follows execution best practices and ABB policies. Monitors and controls project progress effectively.
  • Monitors and controls project financials, overseeing project invoicing status, cost, expenses, and collections. Identifies, qualifies, quantifies, manages project risks, and ensures all opportunities are identified and pursued.
  • Captures, analyzes, and shares lessons learned throughout the project. Drives the formal acceptance of the project, contract close-out, and acknowledgment by the customer, all in accordance with the contract.
  • Demonstrates and proactively applies immediate recovery actions to mitigate schedule delays and cost overruns.
  • 3. Customer Relations • Proactively informs customers about issue status based on inputs and clarifies any questions. Ensures a positive customer experience throughout the entire process.
  • 4. Contract and Claims • Ensures that the project consistently applies contract and claims management in accordance with ABB policies and contractual agreements.
  • 5. Stakeholder Relations • Acts as the key contact for the customer and an escalation point for project issues. • Builds and maintains strong relationships with internal and external

stakeholders and effectively communicates with all stakeholders.

  • 6. Planning and Scheduling • Defines and applies project scheduling techniques to manage schedule risks proactively to avoid possible future schedule deviations with On Time Delivery (OTD) impact.
  • Manage the critical path and project float to optimize the schedule. Forecasts schedule to determine if the project is still within defined tolerance ranges and identifies any necessary change requests to

drive the closure. Plans and tracks all project activities, establishes scheduling risks and opportunities to deliver projects on time according to commitments to the customer and ABB.

Qualifications for the role

  • Full time BE Electrical engineer.
  • 5+ years of experience, preferable in electrical industry. Direct Customer interaction and management.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills. - Stake Holder Management. Scope and Change Management
  • Ensures integrity and compliance with ABB values and ethics in all activities.
  • Customer satisfaction
