About this Job
AIT Engineer - Electronics Engineer
About the company
Satellogic is a vertically integrated Earth Observation company that designs, manufactures, and operates satellite systems, delivering decision-grade insights at scale to government and commercial customers.
We build space systems end-to-end, from satellite design and manufacturing to launch and on-orbit operations, giving us the ability to deploy quickly, operate reliably, and support persistent monitoring across regions and priority areas. Our approach moves customers beyond one-off imagery toward continuous awareness and alert-driven decision-making, with flexible pathways that can evolve from managed monitoring to full satellite ownership and sovereign control.
Our technology supports a wide range of use cases across climate monitoring, agriculture, energy, infrastructure, defense and intelligence, helping organizations detect change, manage risk, and plan with confidence.
With a team distributed across five countries, Satellogic brings together expertise in satellite engineering, software development, data science, manufacturing, operations, and go-to-market. We’re a group of purpose-driven builders who value ownership, curiosity, and execution—and who work with humility, honesty, and empathy.
About the team
The Assembly, Integration, and Testing (AIT) team serves as the vital bridge between Satellite Engineering and our Pilot Plant. We guarantee that the satellites we design can be produced using repeatable, scalable processes. We are the nexus between design and manufacturing, working under tight deadlines to ensure rapid production feasibility.
About the position
We are looking for an AIT Engineer to join our high-complexity manufacturing team. In this role, you will be instrumental in transforming engineering requirements into physical, integrated, validated, and operational solutions. You will work across the entire satellite manufacturing lifecycle, supporting subsystem integration and executing Verification and Validation (V&V) campaigns to ensure each platform meets its design specifications.
If you have a strong analytical mindset, methodical troubleshooting skills, and thrive in a hands-on technical laboratory and cleanroom environment, this role is for you.
Key Responsibilities
- Integration and Verification (V&V): Lead the physical and electrical integration of electronic subsystems.
- Test Management: Support the planning, definition, and execution of environmental and functional testing campaigns
- Analysis and Troubleshooting: Apply analytical skills for fault-finding in hardware and integrated systems. Investigate root causes and collaborate with the R&D team to develop practical solutions directly on the shop floor.
- Documentation, Reporting & Change Management: Generate test reports, document Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), and actively participate in the Engineering Change Control process to ensure full hardware traceability.
- Operational Nexus (Design to Production): Act as the technical bridge between R&D and the manufacturing floor. Review new designs applying DFM & DFMA (Design for Manufacturing and Assembly) principles to ensure they are physically viable to build and assemble efficiently. Create step-by-step Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and routing sheets to guide technicians.
- Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the optimization of integration processes by developing and specifying Ground Support Equipment (MGSE/EGSE).
