About this Job
About Mentee Robotics
Mentee Robotics is redefining humanoid automation with an AI-first approach - integrating cutting-edge perception, reasoning, and dexterous manipulation into a fully autonomous humanoid robot that continuously adapts and learns.
We're not building for a single task. We're building a Universal Humanoid - one platform (hardware + software) that can perform any human task across two environments: Consumer (homes) first, and B2B (warehouses) later. Our flagship product, Menteebot, is designed for human-like adaptability across the full range of real-world environments - from living rooms to logistics floors - performing complex tasks with the generality and dexterity of a person.
The Team
The Deployment Program is the bridge between Mentee's R&D and the real world - and the AI Technical Project Manager is the person who runs it.
The program connects to every R&D group in the company - AI, perception, manipulation, locomotion, controls, software, mechanics - and its job is to take their latest capabilities off the bench and turn them into working, repeatable use cases the robot can execute end-to-end outside the lab. That means driving the integration work across teams, coordinating the quick-and-dirty engineering needed to make a use case actually function under real-world conditions, operating the robot in front of live audiences, and feeding structured, rigorous learnings back into every R&D group on what generalizes, what breaks, and where the next investment should be.
As AI Technical Project Manager, you are the technical owner and orchestrator of this program. You don't lead a single discipline - you lead across all of them. You're the connective tissue between R&D groups, the person making sure capabilities actually land on the robot, and the structured voice back into the organization on what the field is telling us.
This program is Mentee's "early adopter" function - and the engine for generating operational lessons about what it means to ship Menteebot as a product.
Responsibilities
The Role
As AI Technical Project Manager, you'll build and run the deployment program end-to-end: pulling capabilities from every R&D group, driving their integration into the robot's behavior stack, validating them under realistic conditions, adapting them rapidly to specific use cases, and operating the robot live in high-stakes settings in front of real audiences.
This is a technical leadership and project management role across many interfaces. You'll manage a cross-functional team and coordinate dedicated members from all company departments. You'll drive integration across the behavior layer, orchestrate system-level debugging across the software, AI, and mechanical boundaries, and make sure scrappy fixes ship when the clock is ticking. The program's strength is velocity of integration across teams, not depth in any single subsystem - and your job is to keep that engine running across many moving parts and stakeholders.
You'll be the technical owner on the ground when the robot is operating in front of audiences - making the judgment calls under pressure, coordinating real-time debugging, deciding what ships and what waits. And you'll be the structured voice back into R&D on what the program learned: where the AI generalizes and where it doesn't, where mechanics holds up and where it doesn't, what the real-world failure modes look like, and what the next investment should be.
This is a high-visibility role with a steady cadence of public-facing milestones. You'll operate under tight timelines and real audiences from day one.
What you'll do
Own the end-to-end deployment program that turns Mentee's R&D capabilities into reliable, repeatable, real-world use cases
Lead and manage a cross-functional team, and coordinate dedicated members from all company departments
Drive complex technical projects across multiple interfaces — keeping integration, scenario development, and cross-boundary debugging on track
Partner with every R&D group (AI, perception, manipulation, locomotion, controls, software, mechanics) to pull the latest capabilities onto the robot and adapt them to specific use cases
Orchestrate system-level debugging across the software, AI, and mechanical stack — identifying real root causes under time pressure
Maintain a stable, demo-ready scenario at all times: catch regressions early, validate against breaking changes, ensure the robot can perform on short notice
Serve as the primary on-site technical lead during live robot operation in front of external audiences
Develop test plans, rehearsal procedures, and readiness checklists for each engagement
Run structured debriefs after every engagement and translate operational learnings into concrete, prioritized feedback for R&D
Influence the development roadmap based on hands-on insights that only this program can generate

- Ability to work closely with AI, Software, and Robotics teams - and translate fluently between them
- BSc or MSc in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, Mechatronics, or a related engineering field - or equivalent demonstrated experience
- Hands-on familiarity with Python, C++ and a Linux-based robotics stack - enough to
- engage credibly with engineers, review work, and unblock the team
- Calm, decisive judgment under pressure - and the composure to deliver flawlessly in
Advantages
- Experience working alongside creative or production teams
- ROS2 experience
- Experience integrating ML or CV models onto real hardware
- Experience coordinating across independent R&D teams (releases, integrations, joint launches)
