Established in 1987 and headquartered in Taiwan, TSMC pioneered the pure-play foundry business model with an exclusive focus on manufacturing its customers’ products. In Arizona, TSMC is building three fabs, with the first starting 4nm production in 2025, the second by 2028, and the third by the end of the decade.

Job Responsibilities

1. Lead the full development lifecycle of automated robotics (design/control/maintenance) from concept and prototyping to high-volume manufacturing (HVM) introduction.

2. Establish cross-disciplinary teams and development workflows spanning mechanical, control, software, and systems integration (including design reviews, FMEA, and reliability validation).

3. Lead technical alignments with equipment vendors, internal manufacturing, and facility teams; define specifications and acceptance criteria.

4. Formulate future robotics technology roadmaps and development strategies.

Job Qualifications

1. Master’s degree or above in Mechanical Engineering (ME), Electrical Engineering (EE), or related fields; 10+ years of experience in robotics or semiconductor automation equipment development, including 3+ years of leading cross-functional teams.

2. Proven track record of delivering robotics or automation systems into high-volume manufacturing (HVM) environments (not limited to prototypes or research projects).

3. Deep familiarity with cleanroom environmental standards and cleanliness design requirements (ISO 14644 Class 1–100, particle control, material outgassing).

4. Familiarity with SEMI standards (S2/S8 safety, E84, E87/E90) and equipment safety regulations (ISO 10218, ISO 13849).

5. Strong capabilities in specification negotiation and technical vendor management.

6. Familiarity with Physical AI / Embodied AI technology stacks and their deployment pathways in manufacturing environments.

7. Experience in international teams or deploying systems in overseas manufacturing sites.

8. Proficiency in both Mandarin and English as working languages.
