Job Description:
Basic MIG Welding Experience a must.
Working experience with MIG Welding Robots.
Create, maintain, backup, and standardize weld programs for optimal, defect-free performance.
Responsible for effective and efficient set-ups to ensure the proper changeover of welding jigs is completed accurately, efficiently and in an appropriate timeframe.
Understand and recognize the importance of multiple MIG welding parameters such as torch angle, wire speed, voltage/amperage effects, optimizing weld speeds and obtaining proper penetration with minimal splatter.
Troubleshoot welding issues; determine root cause using basic welding parameters to achieve a good weld.
Assist in the preventive maintenance of robots and welding jigs.
Train and assist department operators as needed.
Welding repairs as needed.
Basic fabrication projects outside of production demands.
Familiar with Lean Principals including 5s, SMED, and TPM to help drive Department efficiency.
Understanding of LOTO procedures to prevent possible injuries.
Ability to read and translate measurements on product diagrams.
